Lithuanian Basketball Champions Rytas Vilnius signs with Sports Alliance
Sports Alliance and Rytas Vilnius with the support of Rytas official partner Satchel.eu have signed a multi-year partnership to kick-start the data-driven journey of the ambitious basketball club from Lithuania. Starting off with the Orange Box and the omni-channel marketing capabilities and continue their journey from there.
The basketball club from Vilnius is ambitious when it comes to their data-driven marketing strategy. Jaroslav Latušinskij, CEO of Rytas Vilnius said: “Basketball is the most important sport in Lithuania and the Baltics. It’s something we notice every time we play at home. But we want to bring the experience of our fantastic sport to our fans across the Baltics and beyond and invite more people to come to our games.”
An important first step is to bring all the fan data together into the Orange Box, the proprietary data platform solution will unify and control the club’s underlying fan data. After that, the club will be able to personalise every communication to deliver a top-notch fan service and connect more data sources in the future.
Jaroslav Latušinskij continues: “The Sports Alliance toolkit will help us grow and improve our communications with the fans. We’re laying the foundation of becoming one of Europe’s Basketball giants and we believe that becoming a more digital club, that engages with our fans in many ways, fits that goal perfectly.”
The club will use the SRM Campaign platform, with the easy-to-use drag & drop filter builder to organise and target their campaigns. While the Campaign Assistant application will give them plenty of inspiration to create new campaigns. Furthermore, Rytas Vilnius will be using Maileon’s omni-channel marketing platform for email, SMS, and marketing automation.
As part of the Sports Alliance service, Rytas Vilnius will have access to the Contact Management module. The tool provides a comprehensive overview of every individual supporter including their personal details, transactions and communications history; along with self-service GDPR compliance functionality – everything that a club needs to deliver excellent service to their fans.
Robert Zlotnicki, Territory Agent of Sports Alliance is pleased with signing Rytas Vilnius: “I am delighted that Rytas Vilnius has chosen Sports Alliance as a partner for their data-driven strategy. I think we can really make a difference for the club when it comes to data-driven marketing.”. About being the first club in the Baltics, Robert Zlotnicki adds: “We feel that there’s still a lot of room for growth in Central Europe when it comes to digital marketing, I’m just happy that Rytas Vilnius sees that potential and wants to start as soon as they can.”
Robert Zlotnicki concludes: “Sports Alliance offers a way to start a data-driven journey with an easy first step, namely, to gather data and make it actionable for marketing purposes. I believe that is something every sport organisation needs these days. From there it’s just a small step towards Single Sign On, Digital Engagement and perhaps even Loyalty. Rytas Vilnius has taken a first step and we hope that many will follow their lead.”
